Peninsula at Loose Horse Farm
About the Property
Loose Horse Farms is a collection of farms that were first established by a group of like-minded friends in 2004. Their vision was born out of a desire for their families to live in beautiful open spaces that offered privacy and security while still being convenient to the Memphis area. They dreamed of building country homes where they could host events with family and friends with plenty of room for activities like hay rides, bon fires, hunting, fishing, and equestrian pursuits. Since their initial land acquisition, the owners have continued to add land to their holdings as opportunities have arisen and Loose Horse Farms now exceeds 600 acres.
These founding families have enjoyed the property for the last 20 years and are now offering others the opportunity to have their own part of Loose Horse Farms. A partition plan has been crafted and now portions of the property will be offered for sale. This plan was carefully developed taking into account the topography and natural features, while maximizing the views and open spaces around each potential home site. To ensure that open spaces and character are maintained, a limited scope of protective covenants and architectural guidelines have been established. These guidelines will be an asset to existing and future owners so they can have “peace of mind” knowing the property will maintain the attributes that originally brought them to Loose Horse Farms.
Peninsula at Loose Horse Farms
Peninsula’s namesake is a narrow strip of land that bridges between two beautiful ponds in the heart of the property. This area is dotted with majestic Oak Trees and is elevated providing an excellent water view on both sides. Approximately 10 acres of woods surround the two ponds and the homesite area providing a private setting. When the mist is coming off the ponds on a brisk fall morning the colors and sights are captivating. The property has been improved with a pole barn including a “lean-to” and electricity has already been run into the property. This pole barn has multiple bays and has been historically used for hay and equipment storage. It’s large enough to fit multiple tractors and side by sides with room for other ATVs.
Why Peninsula Stands Out This is arguably the most scenic and private homesite currently released at Loose Horse Farms. The combination of the oak-canopied peninsula, dual-pond frontage, existing barn/infrastructure, and total seclusion, and elevated building site makes it feel like its own private estate inside the larger community.
If you’re looking for that “wow-factor” homesite where you wake up to mist on the water and live oaks framing every view, Peninsula is it. Reach out today to schedule your private tour and lock it down before it’s gone.
